Pupil Premium
The pupil premium is additional funding for publicly funded schools in England to raise the attainment of disadvantaged pupils and close the gap between them and their peers.
Financial year 2024 to 2025
In the 2024 to 2025 financial year, schools will receive the following funding for each child registered as eligible for free school meals at any point in the last 6 years:
- Schools receive £1,480 for every primary age pupil, or £1,050 for every secondary age pupil, who claims free school meals, or who has claimed free school meals in the last 6 years.
Schools will also receive £2,570 for each pupil who has left local-authority care because of 1 of the following:
- adoption
- a special guardianship order
- a child arrangements order
- a residence order
If a pupil has been registered as eligible for free school meals and has also left local-authority care for any of the reasons above, they will attract the £2,570 rate.
Service Children: Pupils in year groups reception to year 11 recorded as Ever 6 service child or in receipt of a child pension from the Ministry of Defence with receive £340.
This year we are receiving £42,919.
We review our spend at the end of each academic year using both external and internal data, attendance, wellbeing and pupil voice amongst others.
